Centurion Technologies Inc. on Tuesday announced the release of MacShield Enhanced Edition, hard drive protection software for Mac OS X v10.3 or later. The software returns your hard drive to a pre-defined configuration upon restarting. MacShield Enhanced Edition costs US$59.99.
MacShield Enhanced Edition clears your Mac of downloads and deletions, system setting changes and installed programs. All changes disappear upon restart, according to the developer. The software records all changes to a temporary storage area. In this way, even applications that are accidentally deleted are restored on the next restart. MacShield Enhanced Edition can also use a “persistent storage” area to keep content like e-mails, documents and other information from restart to restart.
