Jobs used his time on the keynote stage to tell developers about how Apple’s doing with its retail efforts, iPod and iTunes and Mac sales, but then he dropped one of the biggest bombshells in Apple history: He announced Apple’s plans to switch from the PowerPC CPU architecture to chips made by Intel.
