MySQL AB on Tuesday announced the release of two new visual database tools for Mac OS X, designed to help developers, DBAs and user who are working with MySQL databases. New beta versions of the MySQL Query Browser and MySQL administrator tools are ready for download from the Web site.
MySQL Query Browser is used to create, execute and optimize MySQL database queries. Features include drag-and-drop tools in a Web browser-style environment. MySQL Administrator lets database administrators (DBAs) manage and monitor MySQL applications running on their servers, using a graphical user interface that provides them with access to server configuration, replication status monitoring, back and restore functions, logs and more.
MySQL AB is demonstrating the new tools at this week’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, Calif.
