FileMaker announced during Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco, Calif., a new Dashboard Widget and Actions for Apple’s Automator application. In addition, FileMaker also announced SDKs for their Widget and Actions to allow developers to access information and develop for themselves.
FileMaker Datagraph is the company’s Widget that allows you to view your data in a bar graph display. By imputing the database name, table names and field names (up to five), you can monitor the activity in the database in real-time.
Datagraph displays values in the bar graph from a summary field, the count of designated fields or the total values in a field. Multiple databases can be tracked using multiple Widgets in Dashboard.
The Widget supports FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Developer databases and supports remote access with FileMaker Server 7 Advanced.
A beta of the Widget is available to download from the company’s Web site today.
The FileMaker Automator Actions let you create a workflow of FileMaker scripts, so you can access and manage your data directly from your desktop, according to the company. The Automator Actions are not yet available from the Web site.
