Apple has teamed up with convenience store chain 7-Eleven to give away up to 8 million codes redeemable for a free song download from the iTunes Music Store. The Slurpee Summer Prize Fest. The codes are printed on specially marked 32-ounce Slurpee cups available from participating 7-Eleven locations throughout the United States.
According to the information posted on Apple’s Web site, each promotional 32-ounce Slurpee cup is marked with a 12-digit code that’s redeemable for one free song from the iTunes Music Store. Rules and restrictions apply, though — visit the Apple Web site for more details. The promotion began on May 23, 2005 and runs through the end of July — any codes you get need to be redeemed by the end of August.
