Keyspan has announced its new 4-Port Print Server. The US$99 print server touts four USB 2.0 ports and a single 10/100baseT Ethernet interface, enabling Macs and PCs to print to four USB printers. A bidirectional device, the server also delivers printer status information back to the computer, so you can monitor ink and paper status.
The 4-Port Print Server works with USB laser, inkjet, photo and label printers as well as plotters. It supports static IP addresses, DHCP and Apple’s Bonjour (formerly Rendezvous), a zero-configuration networking technology. The device is compatible with Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
