Microsoft Corp. on Tuesday announced the release of Virtual PC 7.0.2. The update to the PC emulation software for the Mac features fixes for Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger” that came to light during final testing. It’s

Virtual PC 7.0.2 provides fixes for Virtual Switch, Zero Configuration Printing and the Dock Start menu when running on Tiger, according to Microsoft. The update works with Virtual PC 7.0 and 7.0.1. System requirements call for G3/700MHz or faster, Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, 512MB RAM, 70MB hard disk space.
Microsoft’s Mac Business Unit (Mac BU) notes that with this release, all of its Mac-compatible software is now Tiger-compatible. The company is working on the next versions of Office and Virtual PC for the Mac, according to a statement, and will also release “Service Pack 2” for Mac Office 2004 and Messenger for Mac v5.0 later this year.
Microsoft is also offering a US$30 rebate for Virtual PC products bought before September 30, 2005. More information is available
