World of Warcraft maker Blizzard Entertainment has announced plans for BlizzCon, a gaming festival to celebrate the company’s popular game franchises Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft. The event is scheduled to take place on October 28 and 29, 2005 in Orange County, Calif.
The exact location and schedule from BlizzCon has yet to be revealed, but Blizzard indicated in a recent statement that it will include a chance to play games live with other attendees, an invitational tournament to let the world’s best Warcraft III and StarCraft pro gamers to participate and question and answer panels with the developers of World of Warcraft and Blizzard’s upcoming console release, StarCraft: Ghost.
