UK-based PodGear on Friday announced the PocketParty Shuffle — what they bill as “the world’s tiniest ghetto blaster.” The PocketParty Shuffle is a portable “micro speaker” system for the Apple iPod shuffle. The PocketParty Shuffle costs £24.99 incl. VAT and is shipping now.
The PocketParty Shuffle outputs 1 watt of stereo sound to two speakers, in an enclosure that the iPod shuffle itself plugs into from the top. PodGear estimates that the speaker system will remain powered for 10 hours on a charge from a single AA battery. You control the volume using the iPod shuffle’s own volume control. It also includes a green LED on/off indicator.
