Blizzard Entertainment, makers of games including StarCraft, Diablo II and World of Warcraft, announced their BlizzCon gaming festival in late July. New details have emerged about the event, which happens October 28 and 2 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.
BlizzCon is a two day gaming festival dedicated to Blizzard Entertainment’s games. The company has developed a huge legion of fans since being founded 14 years ago, and has been diligent in providing Mac and Windows cross-platform launches for its last several major game and expansion pack releases.
BlizzCon will feature events like question and answer panels with the developers of World of Warcraft and the game’s forthcoming console-only tactical action game, StarCraft: Ghost. Also planned is in “Invitational Tournament” featuring the world’s top Warcraft III and Starcraft pro gamers; contests; BlizzCon merchandise and a special closing-night concert featuring an as-yet unannounced band (the tickets for those will go on sale on July 21st for $120 per person)
