Apple on Wednesday released iPhoto v5.0.3, the latest version of the digital photo management application it includes as part of its iLife ‘05 suite, included on shipping Macs and available separately for US$79. The update is available from the Software Update system preferences pane and is also available for download from Apple’s Web site.
iPhoto 5.0.3 measures in at a hefty 39.2MB when downloaded from Apple’s site (the size may vary depending on your hard drive’s capacity when using Software Update).
Changes in this release include a fix for Mac OS X v10.4.2, released on Tuesday — images are no longer color-shifted after editing. Book layouts will not change when moving an image on a page with this new release, an a problem has been corrected that caused some book orders to be cancelled. Also, Smart Albums will display correctly in other iLife applications.
iPhoto 5.0.3. is compatible with Mac OS X v10.3.4 and 10.3.9, or 10.4.2 or later. The update is recommended for all iPhoto 5.0.x users.
