Santa Ana, Calif.-based Markzware on Wednesday announced the release of FlightCheck Studio for Adobe InDesign CS and CS2. The new release provides “in-flight” preflighting of digital documents, detecting problems while the document is being created. It costs US$199.
Similar to FlightCheck Studio for QuarkXPress, this software can check your InDesign CS and CS2 documents against a pre-defined specification. When the doc deviates from the spec, FlightCheck Studio alerts you, allowing you to repair the document. It can check for page size, layout, color space, fonts, style sheets, image types, image resolution and other issues. Production managers can use the software to set up a common spec to share with designers, for example.
Developed as a plug-in for Adobe InDesign, this is the second in a series of FlightCheck Studio products, according to Markzware.
