Portland, Ore.-based OnOne Software Inc. on Thursday announced itself to the world. What’s more, the company has acquired a variety of Adobe Photoshop and QuarkXPress plug-in products from Celartem Inc., parent company of Extensis and LizardTech.
As part of the acquisition, Extensis’ pxl SmartScale, PhotoFrame, Intellihance Pro, Mask Pro, PhotoTools and QX-Tools Pro have changed hands to onOne, along with LizardTech’s Genuine Fractals line. Extensis and LizardTech continue to support the products until July 31, 2005, when onOne takes control.
OnOne Software said in a statement that it plans to immediately begin developing new features and improvements to several of the products. The Photoshop plug-ins are already compatible with Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger,” according to the company. Thirty-day trial versions are available for download.
