Aspyr Media Inc. on Thursday announced that its Macintosh conversion of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 has been declared “gold master,” and will begin shipping on August 15, 2005. Developed for the Mac by Aspyr Studios, it was licensed for the Mac by Aspyr from Electronic Arts (EA).
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 is a golf simulation that puts you in the shoes of Tiger Woods and more than a dozen other real-world PGA pros like Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Vijay Singh and many others. You can also create your own custom golfer using “Game Face” tools that let you exercise minute control over your golfer’s physical appearance — everything from body type to the width of the nose and what sort of close he or she wears.
In addition to playing some of the best-known PGA courses in the world, like St. Andrews and Pebble Beach, you can “Tiger Proof” the courses, altering course dynamics, narrowing fairways, adding more contour to greens, changing sand traps and water hazards, putting in deeper bunkers, higher rough and more. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.8, G4/1.2GHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 2.5GB hard disk space, ATI Radeon 9000 or Nvidia GeForce FX5200 or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM and DVD drive.
