Popular clothing store chain The Gap announced Thursday that it’s kicking off its fall 2005 marketing campaign with a tie-in that rewards visitors to their stores with a free download from Apple’s iTunes Music Store, for trying on a pair of Gap jeans.
The new promotional campaign is dubbed “Find Your Favorite Fit.” The Gap will, from August 8 – 31, offer customers who try on any pair of Gap jeans a free download from the iTunes Music Store. The company will let consumers know through print ads and television spots when the campaign kicks into high gear next month.
The promo is designed to drive consumer awareness about new denim fits The Gap is offering this fall: Curvy, Straight and Original for women, and Straight for men.
Jeff Jones, executive vice president of Gap Marketing, said: “The relationship between jeans and music is a hallmark of Gap’s identity, so we’re thrilled to team up with iTunes to bring this connection to life for our customers.”
