TechRestore Inc. is offering users of Click Wheel equipped iPods — including new “color screen”-equipped iPods — a battery upgrade. The upgrade is available as part of an overnight service for US$69, and is also available as a self-service upgrade for $29.99.
The 1000mAh capacity provides 50 percent more charging power than the battery that comes with fourth-generation iPods, and 38 percent more charging power than the battery that comes with color iPods, according to TechRestore.
The overnight upgrade includes overnight pickup, same-day installation and return overnight delivery. The old iPod battery is recycled by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp.
