Freeverse Software on Wednesday introduced Chatalog — a cataloging program that stores copies of your iChats where your other online correspondence is kept, and compiles lists containing images and links that friends and colleagues send you by iChat. It costs US$12.95 to register for personal use, and $24.95 for businesses. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther” and iChat AV. A Chatalog widget is also available for Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger.”
Chatalog takes each of your iChats as they occur, tags them with a participant, time and date, and forwards them directly to your e-mail client. You can then use your e-mail to apply rules to sort your chats, view your chats in threads, forward interesting chats to other users, and archive your chats more conveniently.
