O’Reilly’s latest release is entitled “ iPod Shuffle Fan Book.” Penned by J.D. Biersdorfer, the book purports to help users get the most out of their iPod shuffle, covering the basics of iPod shuffle hardware and software, using iTunes, making sure your best music gets on the iPod shuffle, and more.
Created as a “written companion” for the iPod shuffle, the book emphasizes “shuffling” in all its forms — creating custom playlists, sharing and publishing them using imix, and burning those playlists on CDs. It’s also a compact book, not “a whole lot bigger than the iPod shuffle itself,” according to O’Reilly. iPod Shuffle Fan Book, ISBN 0-596-100701, costs US$9.95.
