Difusi Corp. on Monday introduced the
miniCase, described as “a deluxe executive carrying case” designed for Apple’s Mac mini or 12-inch PowerBook G4. Made of leather and Jacquard nylon, the new miniCase will retail for US$129 when it’s released this fall.
Leather is used on all handles and carrying straps, the main body of the carrying case on on zipper pulls, and the miniCase contains six main compartments suitable for storing the computer, cables, accessories, documents, CDs and DVDs, digital cameras and other accessories. The miniCase is outfitted with internal gel-form to absorb shocks when it’s on the move.
Inside is a light-grey nylon interior with an internal lighting array — eight white LED’s housed in a removable fixture housed in an anodized aluminum enclosure. The lighting system, powered by a 12 volt battery, is designed to illuminate the inside of the case to help you find things that you might have dropped, and it comes with an optional pen-tab clip.
