Northridge, Calif.-based SmartSound Software Inc. on Monday announced a price reduction in its Sonicfire Pro software. Sonicfire Pro is a soundtrack-making application aimed at video professionals that enables users to create multiple edits of any music track at any length. Previously available for $299 for the Standard Edition and $499 for the Bundle Edition, those versions of Sonicfire Pro now cost $249 and $399 respectively.
Sonicfire Pro Standard Edition ships with two “SmartSound” music CDs, while the Bundle Edition includes five SmartSound discs. Both of them can be used to generate royalty-free soundtracks for your video content.
Sonicfire Pro lets you create custom soundtracks using fully orchestrated cuts rather than loops you have to use to build arrangements of your own. In addition to the CDs included with each package, Sonicfire Pro features connectivity to the SmartSound Library online, so you can listen to other musical cuts, buy them and download as you need them. It features the Infinite Search Maestro, which lets you find the right cut and manage your SmartSound library, including files you’ve listened to but haven’t yet purchased. Cuts you’ve built can be played back in QuickTime and Windows Media formats.
