Mark/Space Inc. has released The Missing Sync for hiptop v2.0, an update for its data synchronization software for Danger’s hiptop mobile device — a cell phone, PDA and Internet communication tool in one. It’s sold by T-Mobile as the Sidekick and also by SunCom Wireless as the hiptop.
The new release, a free update for registered users, adds support for Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger” and also improves functionality under Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther,” according to Mark/Space. It costs US$29.95. Crossgrades from other Missing Sync products are available for $19.95.
The Missing Sync for hiptop enables users to exchange contact information, calendar events and to-do list items between the hiptop/Sidekick and Mac OS X’s Address Book and iCal software. Data is synchronized using the device’s Web-based Desktop Interface over the air.
