Qmaha, Neb.-based macware on Tuesday announced the release of MacCapture. The US$29.99 Mac OS X utility captures on-screen action and can import video, images and sound to help users create high-impact presentations.
You can capture on-screen actions using a fixed camera or panning and scrolling. You can record with audio, add voice overs and music, add transitions, control image size and frame rate and more. You can add text, captions and credit effects, add special effects and filters, do stop-motion capture using onion skinning, paint and draw directly on frames, import video from DV and FireWire sources and more.
Applications for MacCapture include creating training videos and tutorials, report and presentation generation, product and service promotional videos, product demonstrations, personal video scrapbooks and movie albums.
System requirements for MacCapture call for Mac OS X v10.2.6 or later, QuickTime 5 or later, 128MB RAM, 800 x 600 pixel resolution.
