Charleston, S.C.-based Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) on Tuesday introduced the mini fm, an FM radio and headphone amplifier for Apple’s iPod mini. The device fits onto the top of the iPod mini and costs US$39.99. It’s coming in October.
The mini fm is a self-contained FM receiver, enabling users to listen to FM radio stations when they’re toting their iPod mini. It also boosts the iPod mini’s volume capacity by 25 percent, according to DLO — better for noisy environments like an airplane or when using a headphone splitter. The mini fm comes in a silver finish.
