Apple has posted iPod Updater 2005-09-06 on its Web site, available for download. It measures 36.1MB. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later.
The updater includes the same versions of the software that runs on iPods as the updater released in June. The new software in this release is iPod Software 1.0 for iPod nano. The iPod nano is Apple’s newest model, its replacement for the iPod mini that was introduced at a special even in San Francisco on Wednesday. With this updater in hand, users can restore their new iPod nano if they wish.
