Ontario, Canada-based Lakewood Studios has announced the release of iList Data 3.0, a new version of its single-user database software. iList Data 3.0 costs US$69.95, though a special discount of $49.95 is available through Saturday, September 10, 2005. A feature-limited demo version is available.
iList Data lets users create databases that can be as varied as multimedia catalogs, to do lists, inventory databases and other data management solutions. The software lets users create standalone databases that don’t require the installation of server software. Lakewood Studios aims iList Data at families, educators, business people and researchers who need their own database software but don’t require the server capabilities of iList Studio, their multi-user database engine.
New to this release are dynamic reports that can be used to retrieve both the data and the shell of a report from the database; a dedicated thumbnail palette for viewing JPEG and other Web-based images; one-click integration with iPhoto 5; and enhanced ability to save and recall custom interface setups.
The software includes ten database templates, ten pre-defined Find modes, support for text, number, date and time fields, support for boolean, path, URL, color and calculation values; built-in relational support for searching and displaying data across tables and much more.
System requirements call for G3/350MHz or faster, 256MB RAM, Mac OS X v10.2 or later and QuickTime 6.x or later.
