UK game publisher Feral Interactive updated its Web site with several news announcements on Friday, including word of its attendance at this month’s Apple Expo in Paris, France, mods for the helicopter combat sim Enemy Engaged, and the release of teaser for Fable: The Lost Chapters, an upcoming RPG game.
Apple Expo Paris takes place from September 20 – 25, 2005. And while Apple CEO Steve Jobs has cancelled his keynote address for the show, Apple and many other vendors will still be in attendance. A games area will feature products from many Mac game vendors including Feral, which will be showing off Commandos Battle Pack, Ford Racing 2 and Chessmaster 9000.
Enemy Engaged is the helicopter combat sim that puts you in the cockpit of an RAH-66 Comanche or KA-52 Hokum combat helicopter. The sim supports “mods,” or third-party add-ons, which have been created by fans. Now Feral has collected what it says are “the best” and bundled them together in an installable package. The package includes new maps and new skirmish games; you can also play full campaigns in Alaska, the Golan Heights, Canadian airspace and the skies over Yemen. If you don’t already own Enemy Engaged, Feral also makes available a demo — visit their Web site for details.
Fable: The Lost Chapters is the latest major effort from Lionhead. It’s an action-oriented role playing game that first made its debut on the Xbox a year ago. The Lost Chapters is a new installment that marks the franchise’s debut on the Mac and PC. The PC version is approaching its release, and Feral says “the Mac version is already well into development” (though it still looks a bit away from release). Links to the teaser trailer have been posted, as well.
