Brighton, England’s Realmac Software announced Monday plans to release a new version of RapidWeaver, its Web site building software for Mac OS X. The new 3.2 release will debut at Apple Expo in Paris, France later this month.
RapidWeaver makes it possible to publish Web sites without knowing how to code in HTML. The software uses templates to simplify the process and features a variety of professionally designed templates (as well as support for templates designed by third parties). RapidWeaver supports podcasting, integrates with iLife applications and more.
RapidWeaver 3.2 touts new features like a built-in media inspector that allows users to resize, flip and rotate photos. You can also tweak your site’s look and feel using a new theme variation system, and you can apply different themes and variations to each page on your site.
The new 3.2 release will be a free update for registered users, and will be released shortly after Apple Expo. The current version, 3.1.2, costs US$34.95 to register — a free trial is available for download.
