San Francisco, Calif.-based Speakables, a voice recognition software company, has launched Speakables for iTunes for Mac OS X. The software enables users to launch iTunes playlists by speaking the name of the playlist. It costs US$10.
Speakables for iTunes works in conjunction with the Speakable Items software included with Mac OS X. It extends iTunes’ support of voice recognition, which prior to Speakables’ release supported individual songs but not entire playlists, podcasts or radio stations, according to the developers.
