Aspyr Media Inc. on Tuesday announced the release of Star Wars Battlefront v1.2a. The update to the Star Wars-themed action game is available for download from Macgamefiles.com.
The updated version of the game fixes a bug in multiplayer that forced users to have late-join GameRanger games. “You are now able to host a GameRanger game and everyone in the waiting room will enter the game when you launch the game,” reported Aspyr.
The 3MB update is a free download; you’ll need Star Wars Battlefront to make any use of it, however.
Star Wars Battlefront lets you participate in Battlefield 1942-style battles in the Star Wars universe, in settings from both the original Star Wars trilogy and the more recent “prequel” trilogy, on planets like Kashyyk (home of the Wookies), Tatooine and Naboo. You can participate as Imperial stormtroopers or Rebel fighters, Republic soldiers or Droid Army, taking the role of various specialists as you square off in huge arenas, using specialized weaponry, vehicles and stationary guns.
