One of the first RSS readers out of the gate for Mac OS X has made its return in a new form. Daedale on Wednesday announced the release of MacReporter 2, a major upgrade to the desktop newsreader. Available for US$24.95, MacReporter 2 requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
MacReporter 2 features full support for RSS, Atom, Backslash and HTML feeds, a new, customizable user interface, “smart” news feeds, recent articles, article and news feed search, the ability to share articles with others, “hot news,” one-click subscription and more. The software still has the Dock control that was featured in MacReporter 1.
