UK-based iPod accessory maker PodGear on Tuesday introduced its PocketParty for iPod nano — a “micro speaker” system for Apple’s newest iPod model. The PocketParty for iPod nano costs £24.99 including VAT (about US$45.09) and will be available “within four week,” according to the company.
The PocketParty for iPod nano is a 1 watt stereo speaker system that the iPod nano rests on top of. It comes with a removable desk stand and is cable free, powered by a single AA battery, which lasts up to 10 hours. The speaker volume is controlled from the iPod nano.
In related news, PodGear announced that its FirePower World Tour charger, PowerTrip car charger, SyncBuddy USB, Audio Buddy cables and SyncStation dock products all work with the iPod nano. PodGear also said its HouseParty mini stereo system will include an iPod nano adapter within four weeks.
PodGear’s Web site hadn’t been updated with information about the PocketParty for iPod nano as Playlist posted this article.
