Softchaos Ltd. on Tuesday shipped Webstractor v1.5.2, an updated version of their Web content capturing and processing application. The new version adds support for French language localization, and has introduced the option to choose between search engines. A free update for registered users, Webstractor costs US$79.99.
Webstractor lets users download multiple Web pages, filtering out specific content. Users can annotate, organize, retrieve and assemble the information. The 1.5 release added “Radar,” which can monitor Web sites for keywords and capture them when changes occur.
Also new to this release is enhanced Flash-handling capabilities and a variety of bug fixes. Webstractor requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later; some features are dependent on Mac OS X v10.4.
