Apple on Tuesday released iTunes 5.0.1, an update to their popular music jukebox software. The software is available for download through the Software Update system preference pane and will presumably be available for download through Apple’s Downloads Web page, although that page did not have information about the new release as MacCentral posted this article.
Apple describes iTunes 5.0.1 as having “several stability improvements” over the previous 5.0 release.
iTunes lets you rip, mix and burn audio CDs to digital audio formats, and also provides a way for users to buy music online through the iTunes Music Store and subscribe to podcasts. The recent 5.0 release added an updated interface with new search features, the ability to sort playlists into folders, new parental controls and more.
iTunes is a free download from Apple’s Web site.
