Concord, Calif.-based TechRestore Inc. on Thursday announced a new upgrade for PowerBook, iBook and PC laptop users looking for more storage capacity. The company is offering 80GB and 100GB hard drives using 7200RPM mechanisms. The 80GB upgrade costs US$319 and the 100GB costs $449 — that price includes installation and shipping.
The upgrade service includes overnight pickup in the continental United States, installation and data transfer within 24 hours, and overnight shipping back to you’re location. Your old hard drive mechanism is returned as well, in case you need a backup of your old data. TechRestore can also install the old mechanism in a portable case for $19.99.
TechRestore also offers 5400RPM drive upgrades starting at $229.
