Champaign, Ill.-based Fidelity Media has announced the release of MegaSeg 3.1.6, a maintenance update to the DJ mixing and radio automation software for Mac OS X. The update is free for MegaSeg 3.x users. A new licenses costs US$199. System requirements call for a G3/500MHz or faster, Mac OS X v10.2 or later and 256MB RAM.
MegaSeg enables DJs and radio stations to segue or beat mix between songs and music videos, trigger sound effects using hot keys, create and manage color-coded requests lists, cue tracks on second outputs, create scheduled playlists and program playlist events. It’s compatible with iTunes Music Store files, too.
The updated version improves playback performance on some systems, fixes an intro-time countdown bug, adds better support for importing music from non-Mac formatted drives and networks, fixes some bugs associated with ID3 tag importing and more.
