Final Draft Inc. has released Final Draft AV v2.5, a new version for their word processor especially developed for dual column audio-visual scriptwriting. The new version costs US$49 to upgrade to, or $199 for the full release. System requirements call for a G3 or better, Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, 128MB RAM and 35MB hard disk space.
The new release of Final Draft AV now has the Rearrange Guideline feature, with which you can drag and drop copy to see exactly where text will be aligned as it is moved. Also new to this release is improved importing of RTF files, and improved multi-columnar table import from Microsoft Word documents. Scriptwriters writing content for teleprompters can export dialogues with carriage returns; a new Video Description or Dialogue element can be created with one click; Spotlight text search has been added for Tiger users and more.
