Oxford, UK-based 2d3 has announced the release of boujou bullet 2, a new software for automatic tracking and matchmoving, for 3D artists and visualization pros who want to mix computer graphics with real-life footage. Priced at US$2,500, upgrades from version 1.x cost $999. Boujou bullet 2 runs on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
Features new to boujou bullet 2 include a new feature tracker that’s up to ten times faster; 16-bit per channel image support with better image format input and output, a new Target Tracker with zoom capabilities and more accurate target shape definition; a refined polygonal masking tool; new shortcut buttons and new overlays tree control.
Boujou bullet 2 is compatible with 2D3’s boujou three software, and all major 3D and compositing software, according to the developer. A five-day time-limited version is available for download.
