Concord, N.H.-based Bradford Networks on Thursday announced the forthcoming Mac release of Bradford Campus Manager, a security management application for campus networks that’s now available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems.
Bradford Campus Manager is an endpoint compliance tool. It helps system administrators make sure that devices connected to the network meet minimum security policies, verifying Mac OS X systems, Linux and Windows computers, and isolating them from the rest of the network if a violation is detected.
If a Mac system is detected to be non-compliant, it’s isolated on a “quarantine” virtual local area network (VLAN). Users are provided with “self-help” to resolve the problem without the intervention of helpdesk personnel using their Web browser.
Bradford Networks expects to begin Macintosh support within 30 days. Pricing was not announced; Bradford works through a network of dealers.
