MacPractice Inc. on Monday announced MacPractice DR (Digital Radiography), a new “integrated ability” within MacPractice DDS, their dental practice management software for Mac OS X. It’s coming later this year, according to the company. MacPractice DDS costs US$1,500 for a single-user version; networking and add-on options cost additional amounts.
The new digital radiography capabilities use Mac-native drivers for VisioDent’s RSV Mac Solution sensors — a digital dental x-ray system. MacPractice also said that it’s developing software drivers for Soredex’s OpTime, a flexible phosphor plate imaging system.
