Hard to believe, but it’s Eddy time again.
Every fall, the editors of Macworld look back over all the new Mac products we saw during the preceding year. From that research, we pick out the ones we thought were the best, the most innovative, or simply the coolest. And then the real debate begins, until we’ve winnowed down the list to 30 or so of our favorite products. These are the hardware and software offerings that win Macworld Editors’ Choice Awards and the distinction of being recognized as the top Mac products for the past 12 months.
We’ve begun scouring the Mac landscape for this year’s nominees, with the winners to be unveiled in our February 2006 issue. And just like last year, we want to hear from you.
In addition to the nearly three dozen Eddy Awards we’ll be handing out, we’re also awarding two Readers’ Choice honors to the software and hardware products that Macworld readers choose as the best. Last year’s honors went to the iMac G5 for hardware and Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 for software. Which products will take the prize this year? You tell us.
To start that Readers’ Choice process, we need your nominations: Which products do you think were the best of 2005? (Any Mac-compatible hardware or software released between November 1, 2004 and November 1, 2005 qualifies for consideration.) Just post your nominees in the thread below or drop us a line at eddys@macworld.com. After we collect your nominations, we’ll put the matter to an online vote. And from those results, we’ll have two Readers’ Choice winners to announce in the February 2006 Eddys issue.
We can’t wait to hear from you.
