Dutch company Miniot.com describe their new iPod nano accessory as “a match made in nature.” It’s a wood carrying case for Apple’s iPod nano. Pricing was not announced, but the company indicated that it will begin shipping the iWood nano on October 20, 2005.
The iWood nano covers the iPod nano completely — when it’s closed, it only provides access to the iPod nano’s headphone jack. It flips open to provide access to the screen and Click Wheel — opening the case also enables you to connect accessories to the iPod nano through the dock protector.
Miniot said the iWood nano is carved from a single piece of wood, and will be offered in varieties including map and mahogany, pear, wengé and walnut. Miniot is also offering monogramming and internal engraving, so users can personalize their iWood nano with messages and logos.
