RealMac Software Ltd. on Tuesday released a public beta version of AudioExpress 1.0, its Mac OS X utility software for recording audio from your Mac’s built-in microphone or from an external source. It costs US$24.95.
The software works with Apple iSight webcams, iTunes and iPods. AudioExpress is intended for recording voice memos, interviews, transcribing audio and more, according to the developer.
Features include timed recordings, live search, notes, categories and extensive AppleScript support. Realmac has included sample AppleScript actions like Record, Pause, Stop, Snip and Sync.
AudioX users can upgrade to AudioExpress for $12.95. A free trial version is available for download. System requirements include Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
