Freeverse on Thursday announced plans to publish Comic Life Deluxe Edition, an enhanced version of plasq’s software that turns digital photos and art into comic book-style presentations.
Using Comic Life, you can incorporate your own iPhotos into comic book style page and panel layouts, complete with speech bubbles, captions and special effects labeling.
The Deluxe Edition includes a dozen additional fonts, over a hundred new styles, and more than two hundred new templates.
Comic Life supports exports to TIFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, HTML, iPhoto and QuickTime, supports .Mac integration (including RSS feeds) and more. It also supports Tiger’s Core Image technology for special effects.
The retail version of Comic Life Deluxe Edition should be on the shelves of Apple Stores and other Mac retailers within weeks, said Freeverse. It will cost US$29.95 and requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later (photo filtering requires Tiger).
