A new article posted on the Apple Developer Connection Web site is entitled Aspyr’s Universal Binaries Experience: Bringing Games to Intel-based Macs.
The article discusses Aspyr’s efforts to ready its games for Intel-based Macintoshes, which are due to make their public appearance by June, 2006. It focuses on Aspyr’s prioritization for conversion (The Sims 2, their best selling game, got first dibs) and some of the challenges and positive changes that readying the company’s games have had.
“They looked at a variety of criteria: the resources they had available, the revenue they forecast from the sales of each title, and finally, the time required to update each title. Another key factor was the release date of the game,” said Apple.
