Aspyr Media Inc. announced Thursday that its Macintosh conversion of
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 has reached its Beta development milestone. The game is expected to be released in November, and is currently available for pre-order for US$49.99.

Once you’ve built your coasters and other rides you can actually ride them using the CoasterCam; You can also choreograph pyrotechnic displays using the Fireworks Mixmaster. Aspyr Studios is converting the game to the Mac based on Frontier’s original code; the game was licensed for the Mac by Aspyr from Atari.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, G4/1GHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 2.0GB hard disk space, ATI Radeon 9000 or Nvidia GeForce FX5200 or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM and DVD drive. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 has been rated “E” for “Everyone” by the ESRB.
