UK game publisher Feral Interactive will be bringing Lionhead’s new strategy game Black & White 2 for the Macintosh.
The sequel to an earlier game that Feral also brought to the Macintosh, Black & White 2 is a strategy game with a focus on moral choices: You are a god in search of followers in the world of Eden.
You make choices to become a kind or benevolent god, and the decisions you make not only affect your worshippers, but also determine how powerful you become. Your people have developed new weapons and technology that can pit them in violent conflicts with their neighbors. Will you encourage them to coexist peacefully, or will you help them muster huge armies to conquer the land?
The physical embodiment of your power as a god is a gigantic Creature that you raise from infancy and train. They can learn strategies, master new abilities, help lead armies into battle and square off against their counterparts in war.
Improvements to Black & White 2 include the ability to use new Epic Miracles, such as earthquakes and volcanos, new customizable Creature choices, new weaponry, defensive gates and walls, the ability to control huge armies, new settlement options, dynamic weather systems and a vastly more varied landscape representing the 11 lands of each of the five tribes.
More specific information about the PC release of Black & White 2 is available from the Lionhead Web site.
This is the second major title Feral Interactive has recently announced in partnership with Lionhead. In July the company announced plans to publish Fable: The Lost Chapters, a role playing adventure game.
A release date was not announced, but gamers interested in the title are encouraged to visit Feral’s Web site in the coming weeks for more information.
