Apple on Monday launched the iTunes Music Store in Australia, bringing the total number of countries with a music store to 21. The Australian store will start with over one million songs from major and independent record labels and over 1,000 music videos, according to Apple.
Priced at the store is A$1.69 (US$1.27) per song, A$3.39 (US$2.55) per video and with most albums at A$16.99 (US$12.76) including GST.
Exclusive music featured today includes tracks from Australian artists Missy Higgins, Bernard Fanning, Paul Mac, Evermore, Gyroscope and The Dissociatives. Extensive catalogs are available from Australian bands INXS, Hunters & Collectors, Paul Kelly and Slim Dusty.
