Agent Software on Tuesday announced the release of Precision Recall, a “federated search” utility for Mac OS X. It’s available for US$99 per individual, and requires Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger.” A Windows version is also in the works.
With Precision Recall, you enter a word or phrase to search for, and the software receives integrated results from multiple locations like other search engines, commercial information services and internal databases. The software features categorization technology that helps you collect, organize and publish content that’s retrieved locally, via e-mail and the Web. It works with Google, and extends Spotlight support in Tiger, according to the developer.
