Mac and iPod peripheral maker and reseller RadTech on Friday introduced the Omni armored notebook sleeve and the I-Sight Personal Illuminator, an ear-worn device that features a bright LED focusing lens. Omnis start at US$42, while the I-Sight costs $12.95.
The Omni sleeve is the follow on to RadTech’s tekmod messenger brief — it allows you to work on your laptop while it’s still in the protective case. It features a flip-out riser stand, two surface-mounted handles and a detachable shoulder strap. It’s available in two sizes — one for 12 and 13-inch laptops and one for 14- and 15-inch widescreen models (RadTech shows it demonstrated with a PowerBook), for $42 and $45 respectively. It’s available in six colors.
The I-Sight weighs 18 grams, and provides users with directed illumination. The LED’s light is drected using a parabolic reflection and focusing lens, and the ear loop works on left or right ears, with or without glasses. It’s available in two colors: White for general use, and green for maintaining dark vision.
