Norpath Inc. on Tuesday introduced Norpath Elements v3.2, a new version of its multimedia and interactive learning authoring application. Norpath Elements Studio costs US$495 and Norpath Elements Designer costs $249. The 3.2 update is free for all existing 3.x users.
Norpath Elements lets users create training applications, interactive multimedia for CD-ROM, courseware, interactive reference guides, eBooks, surveys, interactive kiosks and other multimedia-intensive applications. The software doesn’t rely on the ability to write code or script. It’s available in two versions — the Studio release is tuned for commercial and business developers who need advanced features and multiplatform support.
New to this release is support for QuickTime 7 and Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger.” Also new to this release is multi master page support, the ability to convert text to vector shapes, a new search feature for quickly locating elements, and other enhancements and bug fixes.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.7 or later, G3/500MHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 150MB hard disk space, 16-bit color graphics and 1024 x 768 resolution.
